Dr. Alex attended The Aesthetic Show 2019 at the Wynn hotel and casino in Las Vegas, NV from July 12th through July 14th. This was the ninth consecutive year that Dr. Alex attended this conference. The Aesthetic Show is an annual conference which brings cosmetic physicians and their staff together to learn about the newest innovations in aesthetics.
This year Dr. Alex was honored to be a speaker during the practice management session. Dr. Alex gave a talk about branding. The Aesthetic Show selected Dr. Alex to speak about branding because of how well A E Skin brands itself, our products, and our services. The session was well attended and there were many questions from the audience. The topic of branding was also discussed in other talks during the practice management session.
Dr. Alex attended seminars on a variety of topics including filler techniques, laser treatments without downtime, combining treatments, skin care products, and recruiting and training outstanding staff. The exhibit hall included representatives from laser companies, injectable companies such as Allergan (makers of Botox, Voluma, Vollure, Volbella, and Kybella), skin care lines, and marketing companies. One of the newest technologies featured is the Cool Mode device by Allergan. This is a revolutionary device similar to Emsculpt by BTL Aesthetics that uses electromagnetic waves to produce high intensity rapid muscle contractions to increase muscle size and tone, while at the same time decreasing fat. Dr. Alex had the pleasure of seeing many friends and colleagues such as Dr. Andrew Ordon from the TV show The Doctors, pioneer of light therapy Dr. Patrick Bitter, creator of the non-surgical nose job Dr. Alexander Rivkin of Westside Aesthetics, Dr. Michael Gold, Dr. Steve Weiner, and Dr. Kian Karimi. The opportunity to connect with a variety of internationally renowned doctors is invaluable. This year The Aesthetic Show featured a social event on Saturday night where Dr. Carl Thornfeld of Epionce Skin care was given the lifetime achievement award.
