Botox, juvederm you name It and I've received the treatment from Dr.Alex! His painless technique with Botox is my favorite.  He's great with lips and has maintained my original shape. Everyone tells me how great my lips are yet they believe they're real! A conservative look is exactly what I was going for yet they're beautiful. He has a gentle and light hand which helps because I've gone to other places and this has been my best experience. I will continue going to Dr.Alex! Thank you

So vollure just came out and Doctor Alex explained how it will last even longer than my previous filler which was juvederm ultra plus. I love it because it gives me that plump look just like my previous filler but the fact it will last longer excites me. I feel like my body doesn't hold product well so with this new filler on the market I feel like it was made just for me!:)

What are dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane?

Dermal fillers  such as Juvéderm and Restylane are hyaluronic acid compounds used as a dermal filler. Treatment with Juvéderm and Restylane can smooth out folds and wrinkles, add volume to the lips, and contour facial features that have lost their fullness due to aging, sun exposure, illness, etc. Facial rejuventation can be carried out with minimal complications. The results with Juvéderm and Restylane can often be seen immediately. Juvéderm and Restylane treatments generally last for about 12 months. The Juvéderm family of products includes the newest fillers that use Vycross technology to allow our patients to enjoy their results for longer: Voluma, Vollure, and Volbella. Multiple treatments may be necessary to achieve desired results. Individual results vary.

“Everyone will notice, but noone will know.”

What do dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane do?

Dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane will help to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm and Restylane are injected into the skin with a very fine needle. The product produces a natural volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. The results can often be seen immediately. Most patients need one Juvéderm or Restylane treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing.

What are dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane indicated for?

Dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane are indicated for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases running from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth, aka smile lines or parentheses) by injection into the mid to deep dermis (below the outer layer of skin) .

How are dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane used in treatment?

Dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane are injected into the skin using a fine needle to temporarily fill in and augment the treatment area and smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds such as smile lines (nasolabial folds) and marionette lines below the ends of the lips.

How long does a dermal filler such as Juvéderm or Restylane treatment usually take?

The Dermal filler injection process generally takes only about 15 minutes. You’ll also need to allow time to consult with Dr. Alex prior to treatment. Pre-treatment with numbing medications can take up to 30 minutes.

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in the skin that helps to hydrate and add volume to your skin. In addition to its use as an aesthetic treatment, hyaluronic acid has also been used for more than 20 years for injection into arthritic joints to aid movement as well as for eye surgeries and wound repair.

Is treatment with dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane painful?

Injections may cause some discomfort during and after the injection. The smooth consistency gel of dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane allows your doctor to administer it easily and smoothly. And, dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane are injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to reduce injection discomfort. At A E Skin we numb the treatment area with a topical cream or injection to maximize your comfort.

What are the possible side effects of dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane?

Treating wrinkles with Juvéderm is fast and safe and leaves no scars or other traces on the face. Most side effects are mild or moderate in nature, and their duration is short lasting (seven days or less). The most common side effects include, but are not limited to, temporary injections site reactions such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration. As with all skin injection procedures there is a risk of infection. People with a history of cold sores may experience a recurrence after the treatment, although this can be minimized by the use of antiviral medicines.

What makes Juvéderm different from other dermal fillers?

Juvéderm is the only hyaluronic acid filler FDA approved to last up to one year after initial treatment. The manufacturing process provides a high concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid for long-lasting results. It also works to create a smooth consistency gel that flows easily into the skin and provides a smooth, natural look and feel. All other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers currently on the market are made of granular consistency gels. And, Juvéderm is the first hyaluronic acid dermal filler that has demonstrated its safety and effectiveness in persons of color. Studies with Juvéderm showed no increased risk of hyperpigmentation or hypertrophic scarring in patients of color.
